Techniques:

We use a number of highly-effective adjusting  approaches to help improve spinal biomechanics and reduce nervous system interference. The approach we use is based on our judgment and years of experience.

The primary adjusting techniques we use include:

About Active Release Technique®

injuries and many muscle-related conditions respond quickly and permanently with this state-of-the-art soft tissue technique. read more»

Diversified
Chiropractic adjusting technique.

After identifying which vertebrae have lost their normal motion or position, a specific manual thrust is applied to free up "stuck" spinal joints. read more»

Gonstead

This full spine approach relies on X-rays and a heat-sensing instrument for a thorough evaluation and documented results. read more»

Functional Rehabilitation

Functional Rehabilitation incorporates clinical lifestyle recommendations, manual treatments and functional exercise regimes to help patients regain normal function of their spine and limbs, allowing patients to return to their regular lifestyles.

The patient is empowered to achieve faster results and quicker recovery time

Dr. Silbert has trained extensively in functional rehabilitation. He has successfully completed a three year post doctorate education in rehabilitation. He is currently pursuing his rehab Diplomate. Over the past two years he has had additional training with Eastern Europe’s top leaders in the medical profession in manual medicine and functional rehabilitation.

Pilates

Pilates is an amazing tool for correct postural awareness. Contrology is defined as the science and art of coordinated body-mind-spirit development through natural movements under strict control of the will. As Joe Pilates maintained, Contrology develops the body uniformly, corrects wrong postures, restores physical vitality invigorates the mind, and elevates the spirit. Pilates requires an individual to be responsible for their whole body through movement.

Activator Methods®

This is a system of spinal evaluation combined with a handheld adjusting instrument that delivers a consistent, low-force thrust. read more»

SOT

Sacro Occipital Technique helps normalize the relationship between the pelvis and the head, using gravity to make the necessary correction. read more»

Reflex Locomotion

Reflex locomotion is a method created and performed in Eastern Europe by Czech neurologist J. Vojta and further developed by Dr. Pavel Kolar, Director of the Rehabilitation Department at the hospital Motol in Prague. The technique is used on patients with a wide variety of problems in the locomotor system, ranging from chronic low back pain to stroke patients.

Reflex locomotion promotes reflex activities of the abdominal wall, deep back extensors, diaphragm and pelvic floor. All of which is important for the chronic pain patient, athlete or repetitive type work.

Biomechanics

Clinical biomechanics of posture can be best characterized as full spine and pelvic corrective/rehabilitative procedure which foundation is in the sciences of biomechanics and physics.

Cox Flexion-Distraction

We use a special table so we can traction your spine, opening up the spacing between spinal vertebrae and relieving pressure to spinal. read more»

AK Applied Kinesiology

Testing the strength of specific muscles of your body helps us find structural, chemical and mental problems and monitor your results. read more»

Trigger Point

By applying direct pressure or stretching of the affected muscle, we can reduce muscle spasms and flush out pooled blood and accumulated toxins. read more»

Myofascial

Myofascial release is a soft tissue system/movement based on massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shoulder pain, sciatica, tennis elbow and shin splints are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved. These conditions all have one important thing in common; they are often a result of overused muscles.

Yoga

Yoga is a neutral system of techniques utilizing the breath, mental focus and physical movements and postures to create an experience designed to increase awareness and remove restrictions or contractions in the fluidity of the nervous system.

If you’ve been to a chiropractor before and prefer to be adjusted in a particular way, let Dr. David Silbert know. We want you to relax, enjoy and fully benefit from your chiropractic care.
